For my second Christmas my parents took me to Mammoth where we got to play in the snow. They bought me this cute outfit so I can go out in the cold weather and stay warm. After a few days of just hanging out in the snow they decided it was time for me to take my first sled ride all by myself. Check out the video below. It was a wild ride but I loved every minute of it.

Fun times in Germany
Monday, November 2, 2009
It has almost been two weeks and lots of stuff has been going on since we left California. Audrey did well during her flight. She slept for a good junk of it and during the rest of the time she entertained herself by kicking the seat in front of her (once more, my sincerest apologies) or throwing things on the floor for me to pick up. We didn't do much in our first week here. We both had trouble with the time change and slept poorly for the first six days. Mostly we spent time with family and friends, went on walks, and enjoyed being on vacation.
Last Saturday we went to a kind of farm together with Auntie Schnuzi and Uncle Schnatzi. Audrey enjoyed seeing all the animals and she tried to become friends with some deer. However, they were only interested in food. Afterward we went to an adventure playground because in Audrey's world a day is only perfect when it involves some swinging and sliding :)
As always, I think the pictures speak for themselves and we hope you enjoy our little slide show.

Happy early Halloween
Friday, October 16, 2009
Due to our trip to Germany we will be missing Halloween this year, which unbeknownst to me must have been a major source of concern for Jake. Thus, when we went back to the pumpkin patch this week with our friend Amanda and her son Jasper Jake decided it was the perfect opportunity to have an early Halloween party. I think the pictures speak for themselves!

At the pumpkin patch
Sunday, October 11, 2009
Last weekend, Tutu and Grandpa came up to spend some time with us and Audrey before we were going on our big trip to Germany. Audrey's Roseola was on its way out and we thought we should use the time for a little excursion to a local pumpkin patch. For the most part Audrey seemed to enjoy the pumpkins, which were almost as big as her (wonder what they put in that soil!). However, after trying to conquer the corn maze, which freaked both her and her Tutu out, things went down south fast and we had to leave quickly. Perhaps Audrey had some nightmarish vision of having to eat lots of pumpkin pie - that would certainly make me very upset, too.

Holly pumpkin....it is almost as big as Audrey.

Good things come to those who wait

Remember how a little over a year ago Jake and I tried to create a website? Well, you might have noticed things didn't quite work out - technology was working against us and the site never loaded correctly. Perhaps we should have invested in some real server space, but we were too cheap (bad Swabian influence???). So we are giving things another try with this blog. Wish us luck!!
